EASTON Wrist Sling Deluxe Paracord Diamond - Bow Sling

After loosening the string, the arrow still needs some time to leave the bow completely. During this time it is important that the arrow is not distracted. This usually happens when the handle is moved after firing. As a result of the changing force applied to an already closed bow hand, movement is practically unavoidable. If the bow hand was not closed when the bow was pulled out, the arrow will be pulled out of its path by a powerful grip and holding of the bow. These effects can be watched in various slow-motion videos.

It is important that the bow hand remains practically powerless during the entire firing process in order to avoid the described mistakes. This also means that the bow is "dropped" after firing. During the launch, the bow is stabilized by the forces acting on it, so it is not necessary to keep it actively upright.

Of course, the bow should not really be dropped, so there are different options to keep the bow without disturbing forces on the arm or wrist. E.g. with a bow sling which prevents the bow from falling to the ground. It is worn around the wrist and the bow is held by the loop on the wrist.

Mounting the Bow sling
A Bow sling for attachment to the bow does not normally require a separate screw for installation. It is simply placed on the thread of the stabiliser and screwed with the stabiliser into the corresponding socket in the riser. This ensures that the Bow sling sits firmly on the bow. Shooters who do not use a stabiliser will need a mounting screw, which is available separately, or should consider using a Finger sling.
