Description
JACKALOPE Obsidian Classic Tournament One Piece Recurve Bow - 64 inches - 20-45 lbs
Precision, speed, elegance - the Jackalope Tournament One Piece Recurve Bow sets new standards in design, material selection and performance. Developed for demanding archers, this one-piece hunting recurve bow combines maximum performance with absolute control and a vibration-free shot.
Innovative materials for ultimate performance
The heart of the Tournament is its stabilised wood riser. It offers optimum rigidity and a high dead weight – exactly what a first-class tournament bow needs. The distinctive recurve geometry ensures impressive energy transfer to the arrow, guaranteeing maximum speed and efficiency.
A special highlight: Jackalope dispenses with conventional fibreglass and instead uses a pure bamboo core covered on both sides with high-quality 3K visible carbon. This combination gives the limbs an incomparably light, torsion-resistant and powerful profile. The result? A smooth, stacking-free draw length of up to 32 inches and a precise, powerful shot.
The geometry – smooth lines, harmonious shooting behaviour
The Classic Tournament impresses with its balanced, flowing geometry. The smoother lines ensure a comfortable, smooth shooting feel and an even, stack-free draw - ideal for archers who value maximum control and relaxed handling. With a length of 64 inches, this model offers maximum stability and is particularly optimised for longer draw lengths and consistent shooting accuracy.
Perfection in look and feel – the Obsidian: the essence of strength and precision
Every Jackalope One Piece Tournament is more than just a bow – it is a statement. Inspired by the power and symbolism of real gemstones, each colour variant embodies its own personality, which is reflected in both the design and the unique shooting characteristics.
Black as night, powerful as an unstoppable arrow – Obsidian has always stood for protection, clarity and determination. This deep black bow embodies exactly that: a noble stabilised wood with subtle decorative stripes, which, in combination with the high-quality 3K carbon, radiates unparalleled elegance. Just as volcanic obsidian was once used as a sharp blade, your arrow will cut through the air with maximum precision.

Characteristics
Right-handed or left-handed?
Determination of the draw hand
The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.
Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.
The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.
There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:
- The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
- A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
- The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
- The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.
If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.
