Description

The Special Take Down Recurve Bow - JACKALOPE Red Beryl

Do you love modern bows with a traditional design and want more colour for the handle? Then the JACKALOPE Red Beryl is exactly what you are looking for! In the best European handicraft, high-quality, innovative materials are processed into a special bow. The handle alone consists of three different layers of wood, giving it its unmistakable character. The two outer layers are made of elegant bordeaux-black Teknowood, an ultra-modern material made of several layers of wood. In contrast, the handle is made of beautiful, stable Amazoque, a tropical wood that is particularly appealing because of its warm colours. The limbs are made of bamboo, which is covered with clear glass. All this together makes the JACKALOPE Take Down bow fast, forgiving and very quiet in its shooting behaviour.

Particularly striking about the Red Beryl Take Down is the unusual shape of the handle, which looks very modern in its design and reminds of waves. The grip area is especially strongly formed here and moves slightly forward in comparison to "normal" handle. This gives the bow more contact surface on the hand and at the same time a better balance.

Another detail, perhaps not so obvious in its perfection, is the hand-cut transitions from the handle to the limbs. The handle merges seamlessly into the limbs and makes forget that this is a three-piece bow. The elegant design can also be seen in inconspicuous details.

Individuality also played an important role in the naming of the new Red Beryl bows. If at first glance the name "Red Beryl" can only be associated with the colour connection, the importance that has always been attributed to the rare rock "Red Beryl" explains much more: It stands for strength and dynamism! Is there a better name for bows?

SPEED - Carbon for even more speed

In the speed versions, the JACKALOPE Red Beryl is now even faster! An additional layer of carbon improves the already good-natured characteristics of the bow. It makes the bow more forgiving and provides a narrower and more accurate shooting shot. But how does it do that? Quite simple: Due to the carbon inlay, the limbs are not only lighter and more distortion-resistant but also about 10fps faster.

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.
