OAK RIDGE Bamboo Sada - 52 Inches - 25-55 lbs - Horse Bow
The Bamboo Sada is a traditional horse bow with a bow length of 52 inches. It has a maximum draw length of 31 inches and is available with draw weights from 25 to 55 lbs in 5 lbs increments each. It can be shot universally by right and left handed archers and is made of bamboo. The grip is designed in bright colours and features an elegant leather wrap that visually completes the traditional design. The limbs are made of clear fiberglass with a bamboo core and the tips are rounded off with micarta.
The horse bow was originally developed in the Asian region. The most famous peoples are probably the Huns and Mongols, who have been using this archetype of bow making for centuries. The horse bows were, as the name suggests, designed and perfected for shooting from a horse. After all, when riding a horse, space is limited and the mounted warrior had to remain agile in order to survive or hunt successfully. This near-perfect bow spread worldwide throughout history, and other peoples also developed their horse bows, which did not differ significantly in basic function, yet each represented distinct variants.
