Description

SPIDERBOWS Blizzard - 64-68 inch - 25-50 lbs - SWS - Take Down Recurvebow

The Blizzard has always been one of the most popular bows from SPIDERBOWS, combining an elegant appearance with outstanding characteristics. In the latest model generation, it has been revised again and the number of variants has been expanded. The most noticeable or tangible innovation of the Blizzard is probably the upgrade in terms of material, because it is now made of highly stable, extremely torsion-resistant, stabilised wood. This means that the Blizzard riser achieves even better and extremely smooth shooting performance due to its greater weight and stability. All risers are cut in the middle and have more centreshot, which results in easier tuning of the arrows and more precision.

Available in 19, 21 and 23 inch lengths, the Blizzard riser is the perfect starting point for a perfect tournament bow with 64, 66 or 68 inch bow length and a forgiving, fast shooting action.

The look is defined by the two half-moon shaped elements in black or silver grey, which are separated by a central strip of dyed, stabilised wood. The central strip is additionally framed by two decorative strips that are only 2mm thick. A combination that increases comfort when shooting and guarantees a convincing experience.

SWS - SPIDERBOWS limb system

With the innovative Spiderbows limb system (SWS), Spiderbows has created a future-oriented solution for take-down bows. All limbs of the SWS series can be seamlessly combined with the SWS-compatible handles from Spiderbows, with only a negligible change in the draw weight.

SPIDERBOWS SWS limbs - versatile and ingenious

The matching SWS limbs are really something special! Made with a bamboo core covered on both sides with the special SPIDERBOWS black glass, they guarantee fast and precise shooting. The bow can also be drawn very softly and does not get stuck even with long draw lengths of up to 32 inches. The limbs of the carbon versions are equipped with an additional layer of carbon. The carbon inlay gives the Blizzard even more speed and torsional stiffness, which is particularly noticeable with long draw lengths. The transition to the riser is conically bevelled on all limbs and contributes to the timeless design of the entire bow. In short: an ingenious limb for this short and fast hunting bow.

The ultimate limb in the SWS series is the Competition. Solid visible carbon on the outside, a bamboo core and special highly stable black glass spider bow on the inside result in a limb that generates maximum torsional stiffness, excellent speed and unsurpassed shooting stability. The limbs are the perfect choice for tournament archers looking for an optimal setup.

Do you prefer a wooden look? Then we recommend our three beautiful SRF design variants in curly birch, cocobolo or rosewood. These are particularly suitable for the neutral black and brown colours of the riser.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

Notes on delivery time

Please note the following information on the stated and actual delivery time:

You are purchasing an item that we do not have in stock ourselves, but order from a wholesaler for you. As a rule, it will be with us in approx. 5-7 working days and can then be dispatched to you immediately. For this reason, a maximum delivery time of 8-9 working days is displayed in the order form.

However, our shop system cannot display the stock levels of wholesalers and suppliers. Even the wholesaler cannot always have every variation in stock. It may therefore be the case that the item has to be ordered directly from the manufacturer (Asia, America). In this case, the delivery time can be extended to up to 12 weeks. In special cases, the item will be made for you and may have an even longer waiting time.

After finalising your order and checking the availability of your items, you will receive information from us with a more precise delivery time. If possible, we will also offer you alternatives that can be delivered more quickly.

Thank you for your understanding.
