Description
WILDCRETE 3D Pheasant
Pheasants are birds from several genera within the subfamily Phasianinae, which belong to the pheasant family (Phasianidae) and the order of fowl (Galliformes). Although they occur worldwide in introduced populations, their natural range is restricted to Asia. Pheasants are characterised by strong sexual dimorphism; males are strikingly decorated with bright colours and ornamental features such as wattles. Males are usually larger than females and have longer tails. The males do not participate in the rearing of the young.
Pheasants feed mainly on seeds, grains, roots and berries, while in summer they also eat insects, fresh green shoots, spiders, earthworms and snails.
