Description
WILDCRETE 3D Turtle
Turtles (Testudinata) are cold-blooded, egg-laying reptiles that represent one of the oldest animal orders on Earth and first appeared 220 million years ago. Today, there are over 300 species living in a wide variety of biotopes. They range from tortoises and desert and water turtles to giant tortoises.
Like other turtles, tortoises have a shell that protects them from predators and other dangers. The shell of tortoises is usually hard, and like other members of the suborder Cryptodira, they pull their necks and heads directly backwards into their shells for protection.
