Description

You are the target - insights into therapeutic archery

By Susanne Sada Rothacker
"When you pick up a bow, you meet yourself."

We all experience strength and relaxation, ambition and serenity, the desire to control and the ability to let go and much more when we do archery. And at the same time, these experiences are very individual, can be very personal, even surprising.

Archery is like a mirror: every single shot is the direct, tangible and visible expression of our state at that very moment. And the very next shot may be completely different. Looking into this mirror is best achieved in a calm, protected environment characterised by mindfulness, as impressively and vividly described here. But we can look into this mirror anywhere and at any time.
This book is a stimulus, encouragement and invitation for all those who want to delve deeper into the archery experience.

Review

The book "Das Ziel bist du" by Susanne Sada Rothacker is a real enrichment! I have been waiting a long time for a book like this, as there is very little specialist literature in the field of therapeutic archery. This book is a must for anyone who works, wants to work or is simply interested in this field. Sada's experiences and knowledge are impressive, authentic and written down with great enthusiasm and give the reader a deep insight into the author's work.
Archery as a possible way of coming to terms with oneself, the archery therapist as a benevolent companion in a process, getting involved in new intensive experiences, not the technique but the body language as an approach to therapeutic archery work - the book has depth.
